Hechci Designs (“we”, “our”, or “us”) provides online tools and services through https://hechci.com that allow users to log in securely using Google OAuth and access features such as viewing and organizing Google Photos albums.

This Privacy Policy explains how we access, use, store, and share Google user data, as required by Google’s User Data Policy and OAuth verification guidelines.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect the minimum information necessary to provide our service.
If you choose to sign in with Google, we may access:

Google User Data

  • Your Google Account email address
  • Your Google Photos library data, such as:
    • List of albums
    • Album metadata (title, cover photo, item count)
    • Media item metadata

We DO NOT collect or access:

  • Passwords
  • Sensitive Google Account data
  • Google Drive files
  • Contact lists
  • Location history
  • Gmail content

2. How We Use Google User Data

We use the data strictly for the following purposes:

  • To authenticate your login using Google OAuth
  • To display your Google Photos albums within Hechci Designs
  • To provide you with access to your media for viewing or organizing

We do not use your data for:

  • Advertising
  • Marketing
  • Selling data
  • Building profiles or analytics

3. How We Store Data

Hechci Designs does not store the content of your Google Photos (images or videos).
We only temporarily store:

  • The access token required to communicate with Google APIs
  • Basic usage logs for security and debugging

All tokens are encrypted and automatically expire.

We never store:

  • Your actual Google Photos media
  • Any sensitive Google Account information

4. How We Share Data

We do not share, sell, or disclose your Google user data to any third parties.

Your information is only used internally to provide the features you request.

5. Google OAuth & Permissions

Hechci Designs uses Google OAuth securely and requests the minimum scopes necessary, including:

  • photoslibrary.readonly – To read and display your Google Photos albums

We do not request any write-access scopes.

Your consent is required before any access is granted, and you may revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings.

6. Your Rights

You may:

  • Disconnect your Google account from Hechci Designs at any time
  • Request deletion of any stored data
  • You may withdraw consent or disconnect your Google account at any time. Upon doing so, we will permanently delete all data, tokens, and logs associated with your account within 30 days.
  • Contact us for privacy concerns

Once disconnected, we can no longer access your Google Photos or account information.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including:

  • HTTPS everywhere
  • Encrypted token storage
  • No long-term storage of photo content or user data
  • We store access tokens encrypted and only for a limited time (no longer than 30 days). After that, they are deleted.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when needed. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

9. Limited Use Disclosure

Hechci Designs’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request, access, and store the minimum user data necessary to provide our services — we do not sell or share your data with third parties.
